Job Summary: Assist in the installing, repairing, and maintaining of electric and other signs.
Primary Job Responsibilities (other work may be assigned):
a. Assists in repairing of all components so as to make sign operational. Includes time clocks, flashers, animators, fluorescent, LED, and neon fixtures, time/temperature units and automated message signs.
b. Assists in removing and replacing insulators, transformers, ballasts, housings, lamps, neon tubing, sockets, and wires.
c. Assists with operation of crane and other aerial equipment and trucks.
d. Assists in re-stocking, general cleaning, organization, and maintenance of vehicles.
e. Assists with documentation of work.
Tools and Equipment:
a. Crane truck and other Aerial Equipment
c. Acetylene torch
e. Skill saw
f. Tape measure
a. Physical, outdoor work, sometimes involving extreme heat and cold.
b. Working on aerial platforms and other high above ground equipment.
c. Out of town work at building construction sites, often for a couple days at a time.
a. High school diploma, technical training a plus.
b. 1-year or more of related experience helpful.
c. Must be willing to obtain CDL class-A drivers license immediately upon being hired.
d. Must also be willing to work towards obtaining Michigan Limited Sign Electrical License and OSHA Crane and Aerial Equipment Certification.
e. Customer service and team work attitudes.
f. Study and practice safety.
