Position: Installation/Maintenance Team Member

Job Code: SA041

Basic Purpose: Assist in the installation, repairing, and maintaining electric and other signs.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assists in repairing of all components so as to make sign operational. Includes time clocks, flashers, animators, fluorescent and neon fixtures, time/temperature units and automated message boards.
• Assists in removing and replacing insulators, transformers, ballasts, housings, neon tubing, sockets, and wires
• Operates crane and other aerial trucks
• Assists in general cleaning organization and maintenance of vehicles
• Other tasks as may be assigned

• Grinder

Working Conditions
• Variable temperatures when working outdoors, sometimes involving extreme heat and cold.
• Working high distances at times, possibly near electrical wiring
• Out of town work, many times overnight

Education
• High school diploma plus technical training, including 1 year of related experience
• Must be willing to obtain CDL class-A drivers license immediately upon being hired
• Must also be willing to work towards obtaining Michigan Limited Sign Electrical License

Position: Sign Sales Consultant

Job Code: SA003

Basic Purpose: To sell signs and other SignArt products and services by generating, developing, and following through with office and outside local, regional and national sales prospects.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Follows through with house referred and self-generated leads in a timely and thorough manner.
• Determine municipal and other constraints.
• Communicates and meets with prospective customers to determine customer needs.
• Locates overhead wires or underground obstacles and other pertinent sign safety information.
• Obtains drawings, logos, correct dimensions, pertinent structural information, approval and contact information from customer and other sources.
• Permit/zoning variance investigation and acquisition.
• Initiates lead tracker, artwork with Design/Art Department by taking photos, filling out survey forms and submitting design requests.
• Obtain landlord and other necessary approvals.
• Initiates quotation write-ups and pricing, pertinent structural information and design request.
• Writes Work Order Requests with appropriate processing information after receiving approved contract and drawings from customer.
• Obtains signature and other written authorizations needed for commencement of work.
• Follow through with customer and others as needed.
• Project a professional appearance, phone manner, and work with a sense of urgency.

Requirements
• 2-4 years of Business College or Construction Management
• Construction and Mechanical Aptitude

Position: Graphics Applicator

Job Code: SA025

Basic Purpose: Computer cut, layout and apply pressure sensitive vinyl or transmask for use in the production of sign faces.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Communicate and work well with others.
• Read and interpret drawings accurately.
• Lifts sign faces (up to 50lbs) on transfer/light table.
• Apply, weed and remove transmask.
• Apply and weed vehicle/trailer graphics.
• Maintains equipment and cleanliness/orderliness of work area.
• Monitors supplies, fills out and turns in Supply and Material order list to supervisor in timely manner.
• Obtain landlord and other necessary approvals.
• Other tasks that may be assigned.

• Climate controlled workspace in design department and clean area of production facility.

Requirements
• High school diploma
• Computer aided design class(es)
• Prior graphics, printer, and application experience helpful
